One of the main bug found in most of the lack of audio in the game. I have seen many people complaining there is no audio in Far cry 3 and There is sound of all activities and audio but there is no sound for character dialogues. Most people can hear all the background sounds and music but the sound of characters in the ingame cutscenes are not hearing. You can see their lips moving but you can’t hear the dialogues

Why there is error in sound in Far cry 3 ? Why only character dialogues (cutscenes) are missing when background sounds, music etc are hearing fine ?

This is most possible due to outdated drivers, corrupted data files, errors in sound mixer or speaker setup etc.

Make sure that your sound mixer is set to the correct number of speakers. If you are using headphone, make sure you choose headset and not speakers. If you are using sub, 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 sound will have the dialog on the center channel whereas 2.0, 2.1 and 4.1 will have the dialog on the two front channels.

That means if you have only 2 front speakers and you set the sound to 5.1 or greater you will miss the dialogues that are to be played on the center speakers and the background audio, music etc will have no problems.

How to fix audio error in Far cry and get sound to character dialogues ?

1)Make sure you bought the original DVD and not any pirated ones

2)Make sure that you have all the drivers updated. You may use DriverScanner to find if the audio drivers are upto date or note [Imp]
